Uterine disorders encompass a range of medical conditions that affect the uterus, a vital reproductive organ in the female reproductive system. These disorders can manifest in various forms, such as infections, structural abnormalities, or functional issues. Common uterine disorders include uterine fibroids, which are noncancerous growths in the uterus that can lead to symptoms like pelvic pain and heavy menstrual bleeding. Endometriosis, another prevalent condition, occurs when tissue similar to the uterine lining grows outside the uterus, causing pain and fertility problems. Additionally, uterine polyps, benign growths on the inner lining of the uterus, can contribute to irregular bleeding. Disorders like adenomyosis involve the abnormal presence of uterine lining cells within the muscular wall, leading to pain and heavy periods. Timely diagnosis and appropriate medical intervention are crucial in managing uterine disorders and promoting women's reproductive health.
