Nanomedicine is a relatively new field of medicine that utilizes miniature devices and materials to diagnose, treat, and prevent illnesses at the cellular and molecular levels. These devices and materials are known as nanomaterials and range in size from one to 100 nanometers, or one billionth of a meter. Nanomedicine has the potential to revolutionize the diagnosis and treatment of diseases in humans. By using nanomaterials, researchers can detect and diagnose illnesses at the cellular level, which is much more precise than traditional methods.
