The male reproductive system is a series of organs located outside and inside of the body that are involved in the process of human reproduction. This system includes the testes, epididymis, vas deferens, seminal vesicles, prostate gland, and penis. The testes are responsible for producing testosterone, the primary male sex hormone, and sperm. The epididymis is a tube that stores and transports sperm. The vas deferens is a muscular tube that transports sperm from the epididymis to the seminal vesicles. The seminal vesicles produce a fluid that helps to nourish and transport the sperm. The prostate gland produces a fluid that makes up the majority of semen. The penis is an organ that allows the sperm to be released into the female reproductive tract during intercourse. The male reproductive system is essential for the production of offspring.
