Title : An examination of the effectiveness of laparoscopic surgery as a treatment for pain and infertility associated with endometriosis, compared to the effectiveness of non-surgical interventions in women: A systematic review

Abstract:

This Systematic Review was conducted between September 2022- July 2023. The primary outcomes include; Pain via Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) score reduction in pelvic pain and dysmenorrhea and Infertility improvement through evaluation of pregnancy and live birth rates. Six papers focused on pain management, with six focusing on Infertility management.

Biography:

Eimear Eileen Teehan is a final year Medical Student at Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry, based in London, United Kingdom. Eimear has successfully completed an intercalated MSc in Laparoscopic Surgery and Surgical Skills at Barts Cancer Institute, undertaking her dissertation in the area of Gynecology. Most recently, she has gained her LapPass certification. Eimear is an aspiring Laparoscopic and Robotic Gynecological surgeon and looks forward to her career as such.
