Biography:
Mx. Brewer is a student midwife and lactation counselor, a reproductive health educator, and gynecological teaching associate, providing safe, supportive healthcare simulations of sensitive exams for medical and nursing students. She is and works with survivors of sexual exploitation and violence, in advocacy, policy and direct service work as a group facilitator, counselor and patient navigator. She studied at Metropolitan State University of Denver, majoring in Athletic Training, Performance Psychology and Nutrition. She studied at Dillard University’s School of Public Health in the H.E.A.L. program (Health Equity and Lactation), gaining her lactation counselor certification, and is an IBCLC candidate.
